First Friday Art Walk

Susan is inspired by the beauty of the prairie, the sky and the creatures that call it home. She is particularly drawn to focus on the small, but stunning, elements in nature that are easily overlooked or taken for granted. Snacks, soda, beer and wine provided.

Starting as a Black and White photographer, Tom learned early on the importance of good composition. Tom's subject matter is quite eclectic. His style is clean and impactful. He has won several local awards and has been published nationally. Snacks, soda, beer and wine provided.

Stepping outside the common practices used in making art, Charles put his fondness for printmaking and rusted sculptures together. The results are fantastic! Using oxidation, he produces some very contemplative images that contrast organic with geometric. Snacks, soda, beer and wine provided.

Discover Art Downtown at NexLynx Gallery of Arts, and view the intricate Counted Cross Stitch pieces by Irma Wager. Irma has made many images for family and friends in different varieties from European landscapes to animals, flowers, city streets and beautiful women. Chocolate is exploding once again at NexLynx Gallery! Dip into our chocolate waterfall, enjoy a perfect “Cocomotion” cocoa and other tasty treats. Then top it off with a selection of chocolate inspired beers and wines.

First ever collaborative paired paintings from five Topeka Zoo animals and five local Topeka artists to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. To be unveiled during our March First Friday Art Walk.

Come view the talented student art from Hayden Catholic High School. Art instructors, Athena Sutton and Edw Balda present the 9th through 12th grade visual art students from all levels, displaying a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, ceramics, and design. Wear blue & help spread awareness for Autism. Purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Downtown goodie basket while raising money for Topeka Area Autism Network.
