First Friday Art Walk – March 2025
Step into a vibrant world where fabric becomes poetry and stitches weave stories! This breathtaking quilt exhibit celebrates the artistry of longtime quilter Sally Kuno, whose passion for quilting has only deepened since she first picked up a needle in 1993.
For Sally, quilting is more than just piecing together fabric—it’s a way to capture emotion, create movement, and bring warmth to the soul. Her mastery of techniques like paper piecing, appliqué, and trapunto transforms each quilt into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, rich in color, texture, and depth.
Now, with the freedom of retirement, Sally embraces every new project with boundless enthusiasm—seeking inspiration in quilt shops, traveling to workshops, and forming lifelong bonds in quilting guilds like the Kansas Capitol Quilt Guild and Country Quilters. As one admirer beautifully put it, “Her quilts are works of art, stitched from the heart.”
