First Friday Art Walk – August 2023

We are thrilled to invite you to an exciting gallery opening reception featuring the wonderful artist and interior designer, Megan Leigh Kasper. A resident of Kansas City, she loves making life more beautiful through her art and creativity.

Megan’s journey as an artist started when she taught herself how to create art. Later, she took art classes to study graphic design, but she discovered her true passion for visual art using Pen and Ink. Eventually, she embraced painting as her primary medium, and it has been an amazing artistic adventure for her.

Since 2019, Megan has been captivated by painting butterfly wings. She was inspired by a meaningful quote about butterflies and how people are just like them. Her paintings of butterfly wings represent the spirit and personality of individuals, reminding them of their inner beauty, especially on tough days when life feels challenging.

Not only is Megan passionate about her art, but she also uses it to make a positive impact. She has shared her talent within the International House of Prayer and has traveled to Eastern Europe to teach art in safe homes and orphanages.
