Celebrating 10 Years on the Art Walk

Celebrate with NexLynx Gallery of Arts, Friday February 5th from 5pm to 8pm. Recognizing our accomplishments of 10 years participating in the First Friday Art Walk with special exhibit.

In celebration of participating in the Art Walk for 10 years, we are featuring selected pieces of artwork from local artists and friends.

The artists featured in this celebration include Pradeep Bangalore, Becky Drager, Dave Horner, Alexander Lancaster, Staci Dawn Ogle, Beverly Dodge Radefeld, Tom Stubbs, and Irma Wager.

Join us, the artists and friends at 6pm for a toast as we thank the artists and individuals who have helped us achieve this milestone.

Over the past 10 years of being a part of the First Friday Art Walk, NexLynx Gallery has had 116 of either solo, duo, or group artist exhibits, 77 different local or regional artists, 5 local high schools, the first ever project of Zoo animal and artist collaboration, famous Chili competitions, craft beer samplings, giveaways, live music, poetry readings, and much more.

NexLynx Gallery of Arts journey began when selected as one of the venues for the ReThink Topeka Exhibition and Art Walk in 2010 and each year thereafter. The ReThink Topeka Exhibition and Art Walk was a movement to spur re-building community awareness through art and cultural events. NexLynx Gallery worked closely with the former Arts Council of Topeka, and now ArtsConnect, to promote art in the community as the “must see” downtown art gallery on the Topeka First Friday Art Walk.

NexLynx Gallery was the recipient of the 2017 People’s Choice Award and a finalist in 2016, nominated by people in the Topeka Community as their favorite stop on the First Friday Art Walk, a program of ArtsConnect.

We will be serving (with care) snacks, soda, craft beer and wine. This month only, we’re featuring chocolate candy, chocolate infused wines and craft beers.
