First Friday Art Walk – September 2022

Though a lifelong sketcher, Bernadette began painting in 2011 after retiring. She continues to vary her technique and to find a multitude of styles unique to her. While acrylic painting is her go to medium, Bernadette also does needle felting, mosaics, and clay sculpting. She has even started jewelry making.

Bernadette is drawn to diversity in art, in both technique and of subject matter. Faces have always fascinated her whether it is of animals or people. She enjoys painting people of all backgrounds in attempt to represent a variety of cultures. Subjects both beautiful and gritty; light and dark.
