First Friday Art Walk – March 2020

Discover Art Downtown with our Artist Reception at NexLynx Gallery of Arts, Friday March 6th from 5pm to 8pm. View the artwork by the talented students of Cair Paravel during the First Friday Art Walk.

Once a year NexLynx opens its Gallery to a local school to showcase talented young artists. This year, we host the visual art students from Cair Paravel Latin School, displaying a variety of mediums including graphite, pastel, watercolor and mixed media.

Art instructors, Bridget Cornwell, Christine Ewing and Mike Henry will present the artwork in the exhibit comprised of pieces by selected students of all ages: Jaley Barkley, Jachin Bonura, Ivan Brandt, Lilly Greene, Molly Kerns, James Keys, Ellia Morse, Emma Nasseri, Basia Nesbet-Tucker, Trevin Pasta, Chandler Vincent.

The pieces chosen for this show have been produced as a result of the normal course of class work focusing on the importance of the entire process. Each of the pieces are both evidence of the progression of the visual art program at Cair Paravel and the students desire to make art.
